Associate Professor of Marketing (without tenure) at HEC Paris. Hi! PARIS Internal Chair Fellow. CESifo Research Network Affiliate.
I work at the intersection of industrial organization, quantitative marketing, and digitization. My research asks how the design choices of digital platforms (what they display, how they rank, what they charge for, and what they reward) shape competition, consumer welfare, and the outcomes of the sellers and creators who depend on them. Recent projects study online reputation and rating systems, fee and price transparency, platform governance and self-preferencing, discrimination in online marketplaces, and how generative AI is reshaping search and access to information.
My work has appeared in Management Science and Marketing Science, and has received the CCIA Best Digital Economy Paper Award and the CRESSE Best Paper Award for Young Researchers. It has been covered in the Harvard Business Review, Forbes, and The Conversation. I serve on the editorial board of Marketing Science.
I am one of the organizers of the Paris Digital Economics Conference, an annual event that brings together researchers on the economics of digital platforms and technology markets.
